Fonda, in Spanish, is a small restaurant, served by the owner and relatives. It is a place to relax, rest, eat, drink, meet with friends. Ale Cha is me, Alejandra Chaverri, photographer, and food scientist.
Fonda AleCha is a virtual tavern, to share food recipes and food information. The ingredients, at large, come from a local farmer’s market. There is also the occasional meat or seafood dish prepared with goods from local stores.
AleCha is the “Jack of many hats” at the Fonda. She develops and tests a new recipe per week. The recipe appears at this blog and it is also shared at the farmer’s market via QR scan (no fliers .) Wherever AleCha is, she tries to bring something interesting to the blog every week.
